This is a true fairytale dress with a long train, beautiful full skirt, and the sophisticated embroidery Amalia Carrara and Eve of Milady are known for. I purchased the gown in 2014 at Bridal Reflections (NY) for a 2015 summer wedding. I'm 5'10 and wore the original-length dress with kitten heals. The dress has been cleaned and preserved, but needs a good steam after being stored in the restoration box for a while. The bottom of the dress has some damage from people stepping on it during the reception (see pictures for the kind of damaged that occured), the rest of the dress is in near-perfect condition. Pictures of me wearing it are from the wedding, pictures against the white closet door are after cleaning and preservation. Please note that Amalia Carrara's Website shows this dress in gold and silver; my dress features solid silver embroidery.
Measurements: Because of the ball gown stlye, hip measurements were not taken into consideration when determining my size at the bridal salon (the 40" measurement seems a little off to me, but I'm copying what is listed on the official receipt). My bra size at that time was a small b-cup ( 32B), but I was wearing the dress with a padded push up bra, which added an inch or so. I was a classic size 4 in A-line style dresses at the time of the wedding.
Price: I paid $5200 for this dress after negotiating the $6000 +retail price during a trunk show event.
I live in Manhattan and hope to find a local buyer, but open to other inquiries. Feel free to contact me with any questions; I'm happy to send more pictures!
