Artfully placed French Alençon lace gifts Iris with an air of modern romance. Topped with charming cap sleeves, the lace illusion bodice is fetchingly dotted with buttons in back. Hand-placed lace appliqué flows to fingertip atop a fluted skirt of luxurious silk crepe. Details: Fluted silk crepe wedding gown with cap-sleeved, lace illusion bodice and open jewel neckline. Hand-placed lace appliqué flows down the skirt to fingertip. Finished with buttons. Handmade in Canada using 100% silk.
Alterations: a simple pearl belt was added for a look that evokes classic elegance. Bust cups were added to the dress and clear buttons replaced white buttons to show off the beautiful sheer lace back. The dress was also shortened just a few inches. A little dirt got under the bottom of the skirt, but it has been removed and not visible as it has been professionally cleaned through The Knot's wedding dress cleaning service.
I love this dress because it is stunning, and it is so incredibly light and comfortable.
