The dress has a very elegant and timeless design—it's an A-line silhouette and the fabric is a gorgeous white silk faille. The material is thick enough to provide structure and a flattering bodice shape, while being light enough to make the dress very comfortable. I was able to wear it for many hours without feeling its weight (I prefer lighter and looser dresses), and was able to easily sit, walk, and go to the bathroom. The front has a low scoop neck and the back has 4 bowties (I removed the ones from the skirt for a more modern look). The dress photographs beautifully as well, and because of its shape and white color, it really pops. I removed a few layers from the skirt so it would be less puffy, though it still has a nice lift. I changed into another dress for dancing so the dress itself has very little wear. It was professionally cleaned and preserved after the wedding.
